CV System™ Overview
The CV System™ is the outcome of 7 years of product development and testing. As Chairmen working in hundreds of companies and teaching hundreds of owners, we learned there is a process and methodology for building valuable companies that works 95% of the time. We learned it could be leveraged across all industries from manufacturing to professional services. The CV team worked to leverage the process efficiently and profitably, and in 2005 CV introduced CVantage the first documented process, system and set of tools for Chairmen. In 2006 CVantage 2.0 was introduced as a refinement of the process and tools, and became web-based. In 2009 the new CV System™ was released It is the culmination of effort both in the field and in the research labs to create the premier tool for Professional Chairman. But it will also continue to evolve as we learn and apply the lessons of hundreds of new Chairmen and thousands of new businesses.
CV System™
The new CV System™ represents a significant refinement to the process both in terms of depth and breadth. The process supports the evaluation of a company using up to 100 categories resulting in an easy to understand assessment of the company and action plans to address any opportunities for improvement. For each category the Chairman is provided instructions and criteria for assessing and rating the company against best practices. An important output of the process is a proprietary Sustainability and Transferability Rating in the Value db™ which is a standardized objective assessment to be used to prioritize the improvement opportunities and as a tool for the owner to describe his company to the outside world.
Also new is the CV Community, a web based, hosted site that is the repository for training and educational materials, best practices, and provides Chairman and Owners reporting and dashboard capabilities to track core company performance and progress against planned improvements. The system is built using both current technologies and robust database capabilities to enable Chairmen, Owners and Advisors to work together in a collaborative way.
