CoreValue: Simple, Fast, and Effective

CoreValue provides a quick, thorough assessment of a company’s operational strengths and weaknesses to determine the probability a company will be able to generate future revenue and profit at or above its current level. The automated web system generates a 4-page report that includes a Business Asset Rating Score (0-100) and color coded individual driver scores based on 18 value driver categories ranging from Recurring Revenue, Brand, Dominant Market Share, and Large Potential Market (market drivers) to Customer Satisfaction, Human Resources, Financial, Legal, and Innovation (operational drivers). A business owner or CEO with his/her advisor completes a 60 minute web-based assessment and the CoreValue ‘Snapshot’ Report is emailed to each within seconds. With CoreValue, business owners, CEO’s and advisors now have a quantitative framework to quickly understand and analyze the operational side of a business (similar to financial statements on the financial side of a business).This framework allows advisors to have a deeper conversation with their business owner clients, enabling more efficient on-boarding of clients and expanded client relationships. CoreValue Reports can also be run multiple times to measure progress over time, or can be conducted across senior management teams and boards to facilitate communication and ensure consistency throughout the company (Roll-ups).

CoreValue Snapshot Reports are web-based and fully-automated. A business owner completes a 60‐minute assessment, and one of two reports are emailed to the business owner and advisor within minutes:

  • Business Asset Report: This report summarizes the business asset rating score or the percent of the potential market value of a business that can be captured today. This report also summarizes the operational and market driver scores, identifies which drivers are eroding value, and provides tips on how to strengthen the operating business and improve its value as an asset.
  • Enterprise Value Report: This report provides a broad dollar range of what your operating business could be worth based on its industry, financial performance, and business asset rating. It also provides the high-end trading range for companies in its industry, and where the company falls relative to this range.
