Chuck Richards, Founder & CEO

ChuckRichards.pngAfter four startups as CEO and CFO, two turnarounds, and making the Inc 500, Chuck formed Chairman's View and CoreValue Software to share with owners and leaders the critical importance of Value. Chuck has worked with owners of over 50 companies to build value and deliver their strategic objectives, and has helped hundreds of CEOs of private companies as an advisor. Over the past 30 years, Chuck has been at the forefront of private business research including leading teams to create the first comprehensive set of Private Business Standards, Normalized Industry Trading Ranges, and industry specific algorithms. His research papers and interests include the impact of generational change on long term employment, the transferability of mid-market private businesses and its impact on local communitieis, and the operational impacts of structural changes on performance and value. While at MIT, Chuck spearheaded the formation of the first angel capital network at MIT. As a speaker and lecturer, he has written articles and has been interviewed on TV and radio, including NPR, Business Week, regional Business Journals and other media. Chuck has a BA in Economics from Williams College, and a ME from MIT in Engineering & Business. He has four children and resides in VT with his wife, Jeanne.

Lisa Kable, President CoreValue

Lisa.PNGLisa is a consumer products guru and entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in brand management, marketing, and general management from Fortune 100 companies to venture-backed turnarounds and start-up ventures. Her career includes marketing and senior management positions at Quaker Oats Gatorade, James River Dixie, Remington Products, and most recently Artemis Woman, a company she co-founded and landed on the INC 500 list in 2007. A graduate of Dartmouth College, Lisa is a frequent speaker at Tuck Business School, and an advisor for the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network. She is also a board member for numerous non-profit and start-up ventures. When not working, you can usually find Lisa at the hockey rink, soccer pitch, or chilling out with her family around their fire pit in Norwich, Vermont.

Jeff Doyle, Vice President Technology

Jeff has worked as a software engineer, manager and entrepreneur for over twenty years. His experience in software development includes design and implementation of the content management system for Open Museum, the STELLA systems dynamics modeling language and the spatial search engine for Vicinity's BizFinder and the Yahoo! Yellow Pages. Jeff has served as Vice President of Engineering at Vicinity Corporation, Vice President of Research and Development at Intermap, Inc, and Software Development Manager at PC Globe.

Jess Huber, Vice President Client Relations

Jess.PNGJess has been with Chairman's View since its inception and has over 15 years experience in operations, client relations, research and process management. He is currently a member of CV's senior management team and helps develop and execute all products and services. Jess has played many roles at CV, including business analyst, technical administrator, customer relations specialist, trainer and office manager. Before joining CV, Jess sold and executed private events for Zoo New England and the Fairmont Corporation. As legislative liaison to U.S. Senator James Jeffords, he tracked and communicated health and disability policies throughout Vermont, while overseeing the operations of his largest district office. A Vermont native, Jess received his BA from the University of Vermont in 1993, and lives in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.

Jay Foster, Vice President Finance

100_0157.PNGAfter a brief stint with the IRS and a large regional CPA firm, Jay formed his own CPA firm in 1979.He had a wide variety of small to mid-sized clients in the manufacturing, construction, professional services and technology sectors. His vision of working proactively with clients beyond the traditional tax and accounting services to develop strategic plans for them grew the firm into a very successful practice. In 1990, he decided to move from public accounting to private industry and assumed the operating responsibility for a client who designed and manufactured custom heavy timber structures for sale both domestically and internationally. With the recent retirement of the company’s owner and sale of the operations, Jay has joined Chairman’s View as its CFO. Jay holds a bachelors degree in accounting from Wayne State University, is a CPA and a licensed contractors in the state of Florida. When not pursuing his business interests, you will find him enjoying his home, family and three Jack Russell terriers on his farm.

Robert Manning

Robert Manning joined Baker Capital in 2002 as a General Partner. Prior to joining Baker Capital, Mr. Manning was CFO of Intermedia Communications, Inc., an integrated communications services provider, and a director of its majority-owned subsidiary, Digex, Inc., a provider of complex, managed, web hosting services. Intermedia was acquired for over $6 billion in 2001. Prior to Intermedia, he was an investment banker to the cable television and communications industries acting as both agent and principal. Mr. Manning left investment banking in 1991 to become one of the founding executives of DMX, Inc., the first satellite- and cable-delivered digital radio network, which was sold to Liberty Media in 1996. DMX spawned the satellite-delivered music industry, now popularized by XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio. Mr. Manning serves on the boards of Broadview, Inc.; Interxion, N.V.; PlusTV; and Wine.com (Chairman). Mr. Manning also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, Connecticut. Mr. Manning is a graduate of Williams College.

Ralph Bradburd

Dr. Ralph Bradburd is Professor of Economics and the David A. Wells Professor of Political Economy at Williams College.He has been at Williams College since 1976. He served as Chair of Economics 1990-1993, 1999-2002, and 2005-2007. His fields of academic specialization are applied microeconomics, industrial organization and economic regulation in developing countries, and the economics of higher education. He has served as a consultant for international organizations such as the World Bank and USAID, for U.S. government agencies such as HHS and the Office of Technology Assessment, and for the non-profit Robin Hood Foundation.In addition, he has served as a Visiting Research Scholar at the Federal Trade Commission and as an expert witness for antitrust authorities in the United States.For several years he was one of two Senior Strategic Advisors for the New Zealand Dairy Group, a dairy cooperative that accounted for approximately one-sixth of all internationally traded dairy products. In 2001, Dr. Bradburd served on the Governor’s Economic Development Council of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Michael J. Geraghty

Mike is a top level executive who has guided billion dollar retail organizations to record levels of profitability,including Macy’s-Federated – Filene’s/Kaufmann’s as Chairman for two years and prior to that eight years as CFO. His career also includes work with Lord and Taylor, May Department Stores, Marshalls and G Fox and Company.His career has focused on organizational development and innovation, built upon a unique people management style.Mike received an MBA in Accounting from St. John’s University, and a BBA in Finance from Iona College.

L. Michael Hone

For 25 years, as a chief executive and turnaround specialist, L. Michael Hone has introduced innovative products; stabilized and streamlined companies; reorganized sales and operations; opened new markets; negotiated favorable acquisitions and alliances; and restored the confidence of investors and customers following scandal and bankruptcy. His senior-executive career began in 1981 at PSC Inc., a Rochester, NY publicly-held maker of laser-based bar code scanners.Most recently he was COO of Conseco Insurance Group., a public company based in Carmel, IN. Prior to Conseco he served as president, CEO and director of Bizfon Inc., a private manufacturer of low-cost telecom systems located in Salem, NH.Michael also served as the COO and a director for Lucid, Inc., a private company based in Rochester, NY that manufacturer cellular imaging medical product. In the late 1990’s, as President and CEO, Michael led the recovery at Centennial Technologies, Inc., a publicly-held maker of PC memory cards, located in Wilmington, MA.He attended Ohio State, is a former chairman of AIM USA and AIM International and a named inventor on seven U.S. patents.

Thomas P. Reilly

Tom has 33 years of experience in investment management and financial services. Tom founded Fernwood Investment Management in 2003 and is responsible for portfolio management and the strategic direction of the firm's operations and investments.Before establishing Fernwood, Tom held positions at Bainco International Investors where he was a Partner and Senior Research Analyst for five years. Prior to that, he was at Merrill Lynch for 22 years where he worked with corporations and high net worth individuals on equity strategies, asset allocation, and portfolio analysis.Mr. Reilly holds a Series 65 license for investment advisement and an insurance license. He also served on the Boston College Investment Advisory Council and as a member of the Regis College Board of Trustees.Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Boston College.

Steve Taback

Steven Taback is nationally recognized for his powerful, dynamic and results-driven training of company owners, managers, and salespeople. Steve has spent over thirty-five years in sales, sales management and sales training working for major corporations including Texas Instruments and Square D. Steve also served as Vice President of Computer Metering Corporation and during that time, the company went from its start up stage to becoming the world’s largest manufacturer of electronic meters. As President of TEM Associates, Inc., a sales training and consulting firm with offices in New York and Connecticut, Steve has implemented sales processes at companies such as Carrier Corporation, Lucent Technologies and Lincoln Financial/Sagemark Consulting. He is a frequent guest speaker on local radio and television programs and has been interviewed in both local and national publications including Success Magazine, D&B Reports, and The Hartford Courant.

George W. Thibeault

Mr. Thibeault was the founder and senior partner at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP from its inception in 1973 until its dissolution in 2005. Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault was a national recognized law firm providing legal services to the business and financial community. In 2005, Mr. Thibeault established his own practice to continue providing such legal services. Mr. Thibeault holds a B.A. from Northeastern University, a M.B.A. from Boston College Graduate School of Business, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. He is a member of the American Bar Association, including several sub-committees thereof, and the Massachusetts Bar Association. He holds an AV rating from the American Bar Association, which is its highest rating for lawyers. He has also been listed in “The Best Lawyer in America” and in several other similar publications.
